First of all, I would like to take a moment to announce that I have been cooking. I bought a cookbook which specializes in recipes that cut out gluten and dairy ingredients and I have stayed away from restaurant dining for about 3 weeks now. I probably won’t be posting any recipes because I’ll admit that I still don’t understand how to follow one. Even with my new cookbook I take about 25 seconds to skim over the ingredients before thinking “yeah yeah yeah, I got this” when in fact, no, I do not “got this”. Hopefully I will improve with practice but in the mean time I am patting myself on the back for actually taking time to stand in front of the stove. In other news, I spent the day yesterday with a mini road trip to visit Lauren in Rocky Mount. It was a day of car windows down, Incubus on the radio, and drinking in the autumn air.
